About Jim

Do you trust career politicians with your TAX MONEY?

I have been here my entire life. From my childhood days in East Dearborn, to my graduation from HFCC, Fordson, & U-M, to building a number of highly successful businesses, this city has always been at the center of my life, along with my wife Denise of 39 years, as well as our two sons, James and Michael. And now we have three grandkids we adore too!

Two main questions face our city:

How will we recover from the COVID pandemic?
How do we lower our taxes?

Please check out my Issues page for some of my ideas on these issues.

But I can definitely tell you what Dearborn doesn’t need: A bunch of career politicians who have failed us over and over. I’m not here for a title, to beef up my resume, or as a stepping stone to something else. I’m here to tackle the real challenges we face.

Diversity. Unity. Prosperity.

I love the diversity of our city. At different times in our history, various immigrant communities have made Dearborn their home. My father’s parents came here from Italy. A hundred years ago, my grandfather worked for Ford Motor Company for $5.00 a day. Over the years, Polish, German, Italian, Irish, Lebanese, Yemeni, Palestinian, Syrian, and Iraqi immigrants have further developed our city and transformed Dearborn into a beautiful place to live and work. And we should celebrate that!

Let’s bring everyone together. Let’s celebrate our diversity. Let’s unite. Let’s be proud of who we are as a city. I want to put Dearborn back on the map. Let’s do this together, so Dearborn can represent the people who support it with their hard-earned tax dollars.

A mayor needs to lead. The top-elected official of our hometown should be an ambassador for us, a person who upholds our values and represents our citizens, vigorously and proudly promoting Dearborn to attract new commerce, new residents, and new energy to our city.

Let’s do this together!
